Overview
The department caters to the basic dental needs of patients from Sri Sathya Sai taluka.
The infrastructure consists of three state-of-the-art dental chairs, X-ray machine with RVG for both IOPA and OPG. The department follows stringent sterile techniques using Ultrasonic Bath and Autoclave.
On an average 80 to 100 patients are treated every day.
A unique feature of the department is that apart from the regular dentists, about 30 visiting dentists from India and over seas volunteer their services for 2 weeks or more throughout the year.
Services
Treatments provided include extractions, fillings, scaling, orthodontic treatments, root canal treatment, aesthetic fllings, surgeries like impactions, cyst enucleations, etc. The dept also does detailed Dental Clearance for surgery cases posted at the General Hospital or the Super-specialty hospital.
